November 2017

Larson Theme Construction develops a comprehensive mass tourism strategy for implementation at Vision 2030 destinations across the Kingdom. The strategy is a logical and defensible method to conceive and deliver theme tourist attractions and hospitality assets in Saudi Arabia. Larson’s approach to development integrates key components within each business model to insulate the investment from external shocks typical in the G.C.C. region. Development of the business models and larger strategy is led by William Shehan, Jr., working with leading international capital partners who are interested in foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia. Developing properties in K.S.A. based on proven models such as SeaWorld, Knotts Berry Farm and Hershey Parks, U.S.A., works to instill a high degree of confidence in the capital acquisition and delivery phase.

June 2018

Larson Theme Construction initiates its first long term capital finance partnership in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the agreement is to support HRH Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s Vision 2030 Initiative across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Key destinations announced as part of Vision 2030 are The Red Sea Development, Qiddiya, NEOM and AMAALA. The partnership will work together as a development team to identify compelling opportunities at each location and bring those tourism concepts to reality.

September 2018

Larson Theme Construction reaches an agreement to bring substantial foreign direct investment to Saudi Arabia to support the development of tourist destinations and hospitality properties at key Vision 2030 locations in the Kingdom. The agreement provides a solid foundation to promote and initiate the formation of a Strategic Investment Fund which will focus on the tourism sector in K.S.A. and support the development of innovative and unique destinations offering memorable guest experiences.

In support of HRH Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s Vision 2030 Initiative, Larson Theme Construction is working with key partners and stakeholders to identify sites for the deployment of substantial investment capital at key locations along the Saudi Red Sea. Saudi Arabia’s western coastline offers domestic and international visitors a collection of majestic mountain vistas, pristine beaches, ancient historical sites and the most beautiful untouched coral reefs in the world. Larson is currently focused on concept and business model development efforts to ensure the successful delivery and operation of theme attractions and luxury hospitality properties in the Kingdom.

July 2019

Larson Theme Construction enters into the first agreement in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to develop a dynamic religious tourism destination to meet the leisure needs of religious tourists who visit the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia each year. Larson’s theme destination is a sophisticated and luxurious property offering entertainment, attractions, hospitality and dining to those 18 million Muslims who perform the religious pilgrimage each year. Three potential sites have been selected and negotiations are underway with all stakeholders. Moreover, preliminary efforts are underway to identify and secure potential investment partners in this exciting an epic mass tourist destination.

Larson Theme Construction formalizes the first commercial agreement in the State of Kuwait for the development of mass tourism destinations in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The agreement lays a strong foundation with key business leaders in Kuwait who are committed to expanding tourist offerings in the Emirate and providing world-class leisure options for international visitors and the people of Kuwait.

Negotiations are currently underway to finalize an investment agreement in support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Initiative. A site has been selected where a highly unique and luxurious tourism facility will be developed adjacent to a portfolio of world-class hospitality facilities. Saudi Arabia is a leading destination for religious tourism and efforts are currently underway to expand leisure tourism to the Kingdom by opening untouched and previously inaccessible regions of the country to domestic and international tourists. The potential for growth in the Saudi tourism sector is exponential.
